Dear Friends of UntappedAbility,

It is with mixed feelings that we announce that, after a good three year run, we will be shutting down UntappedAbility.  By mutual agreement, we as partners, have decided that our lives have taken different turns and it is time to pursue other opportunities.  UntappedAbility has opened the door to many new and exciting avenues for all of us.

Looking back we are extremely proud of the work we did.  We did what very few opted to do.  We started trying to help job seekers find work during times of economic distress. But more importantly, we succeeded in getting hundreds of local people back to work.
Many East End employers found that the UntappedAbility way, really did “take the hassle out of the search”.  Employers were able to tell us what they were looking for and let us do the rest.  Our loyal customer base understood the value of this and returned often.

Additionally, we established a series of business networking events that grew to have a large following taking place in venues from Westhampton to Sag Harbor.  We were able to bring businesses together and help everyone forge new relationships.  Our pinnacle event was our Girls Night Fashion Show that showcased local women (and some Untapped personnel) for a wonderful evening that had the added bonus of raising some money for charity.

We’d like to say a special thanks to Bob Edelman and Lori Berger of Dan’s Papers who worked with us to create Dan’s HR as a regular part of Dan’s Papers. DansHR will be ending as well. However, they will be taking on and running the networking events that we organized together.

So while we are sad to be closing down one chapter we are all excited to open others with our heads held high, proud of the work we did. 

To our job seekers, we wish you all the best of luck in the search for the perfect job! To our networking contacts, you haven’t seen the last of any of us. We look forward to seeing you at all of the future Dans Hamptons Networking Events!
